Fenerbahce track Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri after Marseille loan

Ethan Nwaneri, an English-Nigerian attacking midfielder currently with Arsenal, has been linked with a move to Fenerbahce in Turkey’s Super Lig.

The 19-year-old returned to Arsenal on 30 June after spending the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Marseille. He has not made an appearance for Arsenal in the 2026-27 Premier League campaign or the Community Shield so far.

Nwaneri joined Arsenal’s senior set-up from the club’s under-21 side in July 2024 and remains under contract until June 2030. His current market value is listed at €35m.

The midfielder was part of Arsenal’s Premier League-winning squad in 2025-26 and was also a member of England’s European Under-21 Championship-winning team in 2025. He finished as the FA Youth Cup’s leading scorer in 2023-24 after scoring six goals.

A move to Fenerbahce would represent a return to playing outside England following his loan spell in France, but there is no confirmed agreement between the Turkish club and Arsenal. Nwaneri’s long-term contract means the player’s future remains tied to Arsenal, where he is registered as an attacking midfielder.
