Ethan Nwaneri transfer: Arsenal midfielder linked with Borussia Dortmund switch
England-Nigeria international Ethan Nwaneri is being linked with a move from Arsenal to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has a market value of €35m and is under contract with Arsenal until 30 June 2030. The rumour is currently rated at 36%, with Dortmund identified as the club interested in taking him to Germany.
Nwaneri has yet to make an appearance for Arsenal in the 2026-27 Premier League season, having recorded no minutes in the competition so far. He also did not feature in the Community Shield.
The London-born player returned to Arsenal at the end of June after spending part of the 2025-26 campaign on loan at Marseille. He joined Arsenal’s senior set-up in July 2024 after progressing through the club’s academy.
Nwaneri was part of the Arsenal side that won the English title in 2025-26 and has also won the European Under-21 Championship with England. His previous junior achievement came in the 2023-24 FA Youth Cup, when he finished as the competition’s leading scorer with six goals.
No transfer has been confirmed, and Nwaneri remains an Arsenal player with four years still left on his current contract.
