Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo emerges in Tottenham transfer rumour

England and Nigeria defender Tosin Adarabioyo is the subject of a rumoured move from Chelsea to Tottenham in the Premier League.

The 28-year-old centre-back has not featured in Chelsea’s opening two Premier League matches of the 2026-27 season and has also not played in the club’s opening EFL Cup fixture. His current campaign statistics show no appearances, goals or assists.

Adarabioyo joined Chelsea from Fulham on a free transfer in July 2024 and has since been part of a squad that won the Conference League in the 2024-25 season and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025.

The London-born defender began his senior career at Manchester City before moving to Fulham, where he helped the club win the Championship and secure promotion to the Premier League in 2021-22. He also spent loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers.

A move to Tottenham would keep Adarabioyo in the Premier League and represent a transfer between two London clubs. However, there is no indication that an agreement has been reached, and the rumour does not include a proposed fee or probability.

Adarabioyo remains under contract at Chelsea until 30 June 2028, with his current market value listed at €16m.
