Venezia consider Serie A move for Wolfsburg defender Moritz Jenz
Germany and Nigeria defender Moritz Jenz has been linked with a move from Wolfsburg to Venezia, with the Italian club considering a deal for the 27-year-old centre-back.
Jenz remains under contract with Wolfsburg until 30 June 2027, and his current market value is listed at €5m. The possible move would take him from Germany’s second tier to Serie A.
The Berlin-born defender has made no appearances for Wolfsburg in the early stages of the 2026-27 season, including the league and the DFB-Pokal. He has also not registered a goal or assist in those competitions.
Jenz joined Wolfsburg from French club Lorient in July 2023 for a reported €8m. He spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Mainz before returning to Wolfsburg at the end of that campaign.
His career has included spells in England, Switzerland, France and Scotland. During his time with Celtic in 2022-23, he won the Scottish Premiership and Scottish League Cup before moving to Schalke on loan in January 2023.
Venezia’s interest would represent another change of league for Jenz, who has previously played in the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, the Scottish Premiership and the Swiss Super League. No transfer fee or probability has been established for the reported move, while Jenz’s Wolfsburg contract remains in place.
