Como sign AC Milan midfielder Samuele Ricci on season-long loan

Como have announced the signing of AC Milan midfielder Samuele Ricci on loan for the current summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old will join Como for one season, with the deal reportedly costing €1.5m. The agreement is also understood to include an option for Como to make the move permanent for €22m.

Ricci joined Milan last summer from Torino in a transfer worth €23m. He made 34 appearances for the club, scoring one goal and contributing four assists.

The move to Como represents the latest addition to an ambitious recruitment drive by the club during the current transfer window. Como have already completed deals for several players from leading European and South American clubs.

Among their new arrivals are Willy Kambwala from Villarreal, Kaiky from Cruzeiro, Andres Cuenca from Barcelona and Yan Couto from Borussia Dortmund.

Como have also signed Mattia Liberali, Luis Milla from Getafe and Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea.

Ricci’s departure from Milan comes after only one season at the club. He had arrived from Torino for a significant fee and went on to feature 34 times, although he scored only once during that period.

Como’s agreement gives them the possibility of securing Ricci on a permanent basis at the end of the loan. Should they choose to activate that clause, the total transfer fee would be €22m, according to reports.

The announcement adds another midfield option to Como’s squad as they continue to strengthen their team through a series of high-profile signings. Their recruitment has included players from Serie A, the Premier League, La Liga, the Bundesliga and clubs in Brazil.

The club’s other additions include young players such as Liberali, Kaiky and Cuenca, alongside more experienced names including Chalobah and Milla. The arrival of Couto from Borussia Dortmund and Kambwala from Villarreal further underlines the breadth of Como’s activity in the market.

Ricci’s move is therefore both a loan departure from Milan and part of Como’s wider summer rebuilding programme. For the player, the transfer provides the opportunity to continue his career away from Milan while retaining the possibility of a permanent move after the 2025-26 campaign.
