Tunisia and Algeria meet in unbeaten Mediterranean Games final – kick-off and broadcast details

Tunisia will face Algeria in the football final of the 2026 Mediterranean Games on Sunday, with both sides bidding to complete an unbeaten campaign and claim the gold medal.

The match will be played at the Iacovone Stadium in Taranto, Italy, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 French time. It will start at 18:00 in both Tunisia and Algeria.

Viewers in Tunisia can watch the final live on Al Wataniya, while the match will be broadcast in Algeria by ENTV. No broadcaster had been announced in France at the time of writing.

The final brings together the only two undefeated teams remaining in the football tournament.

Tunisia topped their group after drawing 0-0 with North Macedonia and recording victories against Morocco and Turkey. Their 1-0 win over Morocco was followed by a 2-1 success against Turkey, giving the side a strong platform before the knockout stages.

The Carthage Eagles then eliminated hosts Italy in the semi-finals, recovering from the home side to win 3-1. Mohamed Rayane Anane of ES Sahel has emerged as Tunisia’s leading scorer in the competition, with two goals.

Algeria also booked their place in the final after overcoming Morocco in a dramatic semi-final. The Fennecs had been held to a 1-1 draw during normal time before progressing 4-3 on penalties after extra time.

Their route to the last two had included group-stage wins over Kosovo, Italy and Albania. Algeria defeated Kosovo 2-1, beat Italy 3-1 and then overcame Albania 2-0 to finish top of their group with a perfect nine points from nine.

That record made them the leading performers in the opening round of the tournament.

MC Alger forward Ben Ahmed Kohili is Algeria’s top scorer, having found the net three times. He opened the scoring against Morocco in the semi-final with an unstoppable angled finish in the 24th minute.

With the two sides still unbeaten, Sunday’s meeting will decide the football gold medal at the 2026 Mediterranean Games. The winners will take gold, while the losing finalists will receive silver.

Kick-off is at 19:00 French time, or 18:00 in Tunisia and Algeria. Al Wataniya will carry the match in Tunisia and ENTV in Algeria, with no French broadcaster confirmed when the article was published.
