Aston Villa agree package nearing €60m for PSG forward Ibrahim Mbaye

Aston Villa are set to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Ibrahim Mbaye in a deal that could be worth almost €60m, providing a significant financial return for the French club.

The agreement is understood to include a fixed transfer fee of €55m. PSG will also receive a further €1m through the solidarity contribution, while a sell-on clause could generate approximately €4m in the future, according to Abdellah Boulma.

The structure of the deal underlines Aston Villa’s confidence in Mbaye and the value they place on the young Senegalese attacker. It also represents a substantial investment in a player who remains under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028.

Mbaye’s move to Villa would take him into the Premier League and mark an important next step in his career. The transfer is expected to bring one of PSG’s young players to England, while giving the Paris club a sizeable fee for a footballer who had several years remaining on his existing contract.

The proposed package is considerably higher than Mbaye’s current market valuation. Transfermarkt estimates the Senegal international to be worth €30m, meaning the overall value of the transfer would be roughly double that figure.

Mbaye currently earns €910,000 per year in France, equivalent to 591,500,000 CFA francs. The financial terms of his move to Aston Villa have not been detailed beyond the reported transfer components, but the deal would place him among the more valuable young players to leave PSG.

Aston Villa are due to face Arsenal in the second round of the English championship shortly. The match has been given odds of 6.00 for an Aston Villa victory, 4.10 for a draw and 1.49 for an Arsenal win.

Those figures indicate Arsenal are considered the stronger side ahead of the fixture, although they do not alter the significance of Villa’s planned investment in Mbaye. The proposed transfer would see the English club commit a total package of close to €60m, while PSG would benefit from the fixed fee, the solidarity payment and the potential sell-on income.

For Mbaye, the move would represent a change of league and a new stage in his development. For PSG, it would secure a major fee for a young Senegalese international before the end of his contract, with Aston Villa prepared to pay substantially more than his current Transfermarkt valuation.
