Kenan Yildiz to miss several months after surgery, says Juventus chief Giorgio Chiellini

Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz will undergo surgery on a serious left-foot injury and is expected to be out for several months, club chief Giorgio Chiellini has said.

Yildiz sustained the injury during Juventus’ match against Frosinone and was substituted in the 69th minute of a 1-0 victory in the opening round of the Serie A season.

Speaking to Sky, Chiellini said official medical information about the Turkey international’s condition would be released in the coming days.

“Official statements about the details of Kenan Yildiz’s injury will be issued in the coming days, but he will undergo surgery and will be out for several months,” said Chiellini, who is responsible for club affairs at Juventus.

“It is a serious injury, but it will not have a permanent effect on his career.”

The extent of the setback is a significant blow for Juventus, with Yildiz having established himself as an important attacking player. He scored 10 goals in 36 Serie A appearances last season and was also part of the Turkey squad at the 2026 World Cup.

Turkey were eliminated in the group stage of that tournament.
