Aston Villa are reportedly closing in on an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain for winger Ibrahima Mbaye as the Premier League club accelerate their efforts to strengthen their attacking options before the transfer window closes.

Negotiations between Aston Villa and PSG are understood to have reached an advanced stage, with discussions now in the final phases as the Birmingham club push to complete the deal.

The Premier League giants have turned their attention to Mbaye after their plans to sign Rafael Leão suffered a setback, with the Portuguese winger now set to join Galatasaray. The change in direction has seen Villa move quickly for the young PSG attacker.

Mbaye has reportedly given the green light to the proposed move, putting Villa in a strong position as talks continue between the two clubs.

The club are now focused on finalising the remaining details with PSG, with optimism that an agreement can be reached soon.

Mbaye’s arrival would provide Villa with another attacking option and further strengthen their squad ahead of the new season, particularly with the club looking to compete on multiple fronts.

With the player’s approval already secured, attention has now shifted to completing the agreement between Aston Villa and PSG.
