Letlhogonolo Kekana: South Africa winger makes FC Didube switch

South Africa winger Letlhogonolo Kekana has joined Georgian club FC Didube after signing for the Tbilisi-based side on 27 August 2026.

The 28-year-old right winger arrives after a period without a club, having most recently been registered with FC Orbi. Kekana left FC Orbi on 1 January 2026, having originally joined the club in July 2025.

Kekana has recorded 12 appearances and two goals in the Erovnuli Liga 2, while also featuring twice in the Nedbank Cup. He has played primarily on the right side of attack and is naturally right-footed.

The move to FC Didube represents another chapter in Kekana’s career, which has included spells with clubs in South Africa and Georgia. Before joining FC Orbi, he played for Aragvi Dusheti, following a free transfer from Kolkheti Khobi in July 2024.

Kekana moved to Kolkheti Khobi from Gori FC in March 2024, also on a free transfer. His earlier career included a spell with TTM FC, which he joined from TS Sporting in August 2021, while he had previously spent time with Jomo Cosmos and Buya Msuthu.

Born in Ga-Rankuwa, Gauteng, Kekana stands at 1.65m and began his senior career with Buya Msuthu after joining the club in September 2017. He later moved to Jomo Cosmos in July 2018 before spending time without a club.

His route to FC Didube has therefore included several moves between clubs and periods outside the professional game. The latest switch takes him back into club football with the Georgian side, where he will provide an attacking option on the right flank.

Kekana’s career has covered football in both South Africa and Georgia, with his recent appearances coming in the Erovnuli Liga 2 and domestic cup competitions. He now continues that cross-border career at FC Didube.
