Rayan Fofana set for Le Havre loan from Lens

Rayan Fofana is on the verge of leaving RC Lens on loan and continuing his development at Le Havre.

The 20-year-old striker is expected to stay in Ligue 1, with both clubs reportedly agreeing a deal without an option to buy.

That arrangement suits Lens, who want to keep control of the youngster’s long-term future while giving him a better chance to play regularly. Fofana is under contract at the Stade Bollaert until June 2029, so this move is being treated as a temporary step rather than a farewell.

For Le Havre, the signing would bring in a promising French youth international with real upside. The Normandy club are looking to add more punch in attack, and Fofana offers pace, movement and the chance to grow in a less pressured environment.

The forward’s record last season showed why he remains highly regarded. He scored six goals and added one assist in 29 appearances for Lens, a return that suggested he is ready for more responsibility.
