Rayo B bolster defence with dual-national centre-back Alex Sibacha

Spain and Equatorial Guinea defender Alex Sibacha has joined Rayo B from CD Leganes B on a free transfer, completing the move on 27 August 2026.

The 22-year-old centre-back, who was born in Madrid, switches clubs after one season with Leganes B. He joined Leganes from CD Mostoles B in July 2025, also on a free transfer, and now moves to Rayo B as part of another change in his early senior career.

Sibacha began his development in the Real Madrid youth system, joining the club’s under-17 side in 2020. He progressed to the under-18 team in 2021 before stepping up to Real Madrid under-19s in 2022.

In August 2023, Sibacha moved from Real Madrid’s under-19 side to Real Madrid C. He then spent the 2023-24 campaign with CF Pozuelo on loan from Real Madrid C, returning to the club at the end of that season.

The defender left Real Madrid C permanently in August 2024 to join CD Mostoles B, where he spent the following season before his move to Leganes B. His transfer to Rayo B represents his third club change since departing Real Madrid.

Sibacha has a listed height of 1.83m and is primarily used in central defence. His recorded senior appearances include one match in the Promocion a 2a Federacion and one in Segunda Federacion, with a combined 100 minutes played across those competitions.

He has represented both Spain and Equatorial Guinea at nationality level, while his birthplace and early club career link him to Madrid football. Rayo B is his latest destination after a pathway that has taken him through several Spanish development sides.

Sibacha’s move to Rayo B was completed as a free transfer from CD Leganes B on 27 August 2026.
