Toulouse linked with Strasbourg midfielder Mathis Amougou

French-Cameroonian midfielder Mathis Amougou is being linked with a move from R. Strasbourg to Toulouse in a Ligue 1 transfer rumour dated 27 August 2026.

Amougou, 20, joined Strasbourg from Chelsea in July 2025 for a reported €14.5m and remains under contract with the club until 30 June 2030. His current market value is listed at €9m.

The central midfielder has yet to make an appearance for Strasbourg in Ligue 1 during the 2026-27 season, with no goals or assists recorded. The available information does not indicate whether Toulouse have made a formal offer or whether negotiations have taken place.

Amougou made the move to Strasbourg after a short spell at Chelsea, having joined the London club from Saint-Etienne in February 2025. He was part of Chelsea’s squad during their 2024-25 Conference League-winning campaign.

A move to Toulouse would keep Amougou in France’s top flight and would involve a transfer between two Ligue 1 clubs. However, the rumour does not include a proposed fee, a probability rating or details of any agreement between the clubs.
