Youssef Obama starts for Pyramids FC against Abu Qir Fertilizers

Youssef Obama will lead the attack for Pyramids FC against Abu Qir Fertilizers in the second round of the Egyptian Premier League, with Oda Fakhouri returning to the starting line-up.

The match will begin at 20:00 Cairo time at the Air Defense Stadium, where Pyramids FC head coach Rulani Mokwena has confirmed his side for the league fixture.

Pyramids FC opened their campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory against Ghazl El Mahalla and will be looking to maintain that momentum against Abu Qir Fertilizers.

Abu Qir Fertilizers also started the season with a win, beating National Bank of Egypt 1-0 in their opening-round match.

Ahmed El Shenawy will start in goal for Pyramids FC.

The defensive line consists of Mohamed Chibi, Mahmoud Marei, Ahmed Samy and Karim Hafez.

Mohanad Lasheen, Mahmoud Saber, Walid El Karti, Mahmoud Zalaka and Oda Fakhouri make up the midfield.

Youssef Obama is the side’s lone forward.

The line-up represents a clear attacking responsibility for Obama, who has been selected to lead Pyramids FC’s front line as the team attempts to record a second successive league victory.

The midfield includes Omar Ibrahim, Youssef Hamdy, Seif El-Din Shika and Mohamed Ashraf, who is also known as “Osha”.

Mahmoud Gouda and Favour Akem will play in attack.

Both teams enter the fixture after winning their opening games of the Egyptian Premier League season. Pyramids FC defeated Ghazl El Mahalla by three goals, while Abu Qir Fertilizers secured a 1-0 victory over National Bank of Egypt.

The game at the Air Defense Stadium is therefore the second league match for each side, with Pyramids FC opting for Obama as their main attacking outlet and Fakhouri included from the start in Mokwena’s midfield.
