Ghana striker Christian Godson joins Guijuelo as Numancia loan him out
Ghana centre-forward Christian Godson has joined CD Guijuelo from CD Numancia on loan, adding a new attacking option to the Spanish club’s squad for the 2026-27 campaign.
The 20-year-old completed the move on 27 August 2026, with the agreement running until 30 June 2027. Godson will return to Numancia when the loan expires.
Godson arrives after spending the opening part of the season with Numancia, having moved into the club’s senior squad from CD Numancia B on 1 July 2026. He previously played for Numancia’s Under-19 side before progressing into reserve-team football.
The Ghanaian joined Numancia’s youth system from Dansoman Wise in July 2024, beginning his career in Spain after leaving the Ghanaian club. His development through youth and reserve football has now led to a temporary move to Guijuelo.
Godson’s recent record includes seven appearances in Segunda Federacion Group I and one appearance in the Copa del Rey. He has played 127 minutes across those matches.
His arrival gives Guijuelo a centre-forward who has already gained experience in senior Spanish football, while Numancia retain his registration beyond the current campaign. Godson’s contract situation at Guijuelo is tied to the loan agreement rather than a permanent transfer.
Guijuelo are the latest club in his progression since his move from Dansoman Wise, following spells with Numancia’s Under-19 and reserve teams. The switch also keeps him within the Spanish football system as he continues his early senior career.
Godson has now formally completed his loan move from Numancia to Guijuelo until 30 June 2027.
