Senegalese defender Dieynaba Ndaw has joined Napoli Women on a two-year contract after completing her move from Spanish side Cacereño.

The Italian club confirmed the arrival of the 23-year-old full-back on Wednesday, adding a new defensive option to their squad ahead of her first experience in Serie A Women.

Ndaw moves to Italy after previously playing in Spain with Cacereño. The transfer represents another stage in her European career and gives the Senegalese defender the chance to compete in a new league.

The 23-year-old is now preparing to adapt to a different level of competition as she begins her spell in Naples.

Ndaw said she was delighted to have completed the move and expressed her excitement about playing in Italy’s top women’s division.

“I’m really happy to be here in Naples and to have the opportunity to play in Serie A,” she said, after discovering the city and the atmosphere surrounding Napoli.

The defender will now look to settle into her new surroundings and gradually establish herself within the Napoli Women squad.

Her move from Cacereño to Napoli provides her with a fresh opportunity to continue developing as a player while competing at a new level in European football.

Ndaw also outlined what she hopes to achieve during her time with the Italian club, with her focus on improving individually while contributing to the team’s progress.

“My personal goal is to continue to improve, to help the team as much as possible, and to make the fans proud,” she added.

The Senegalese full-back arrives in Naples with clear ambitions for the next stage of her career.

Having previously gained experience in Spain, she will now begin her first chapter in Italy after agreeing a two-year contract with Napoli Women.

The move allows Ndaw to continue her European journey while taking on a new challenge in Serie A Women.

Her immediate task will be to adapt to her new team, competition and surroundings as she works towards earning a regular place in the squad.

Napoli will hope the arrival of the 23-year-old strengthens their defensive options, while Ndaw will be aiming to make the most of her opportunity in Italy.

For the Senegalese defender, the move marks a significant change after her time in Spain and offers another platform from which to continue her development.

With her contract now agreed, Ndaw can begin her new adventure in Naples and work towards achieving the personal goals she has set for herself.
