Wisdom Mike: Club Brugge land Bayern youngster in €5m deal
Club Brugge have signed Germany-Nigeria winger Wisdom Mike from FC Bayern II for €5m, completing a move for the 17-year-old on 27 August 2026.
Mike has agreed a contract with the Belgian club that runs until 30 June 2029. He joins Club Brugge from Bayern’s reserve side, which competes in the Regionalliga Bayern, and will continue his career in the Jupiler Pro League.
The left winger, who can use both feet, was born in Munich and represents both German and Nigerian footballing backgrounds. He joined Bayern’s youth system from Borussia Monchengladbach’s academy in July 2022, having previously been with Duisburg’s youth setup.
Mike moved through Bayern’s age groups before stepping up from the under-19 side to FC Bayern II at the start of July 2026. His senior experience with the reserve team includes one Regionalliga Bayern appearance, in which he played 15 minutes.
Although still a teenager, Mike was part of the Bayern side that won the German championship and German Super Cup during the 2025-26 season. Those honours came before his move away from the Munich club.
At 1.76m, Mike’s primary role is on the left side of attack. His transfer value was recorded at €5m at the time of the move, matching the fee paid by Club Brugge.
The move takes Mike from Germany’s fourth-tier regional competition to Belgium’s top division. Club Brugge’s new signing joins a club competing in the Jupiler Pro League after spending most of his development in German youth football.
Mike’s progression at Bayern included spells with the under-17 and under-19 teams before his promotion to the reserve side. He joined Bayern’s academy from Monchengladbach’s youth setup in 2022, following three years at Duisburg.
His arrival in Belgium comes before his 18th birthday, with the winger having been born on 24 September 2008. The contract agreed with Club Brugge keeps him at the club through the end of June 2029.
Wisdom Mike has left FC Bayern II for Club Brugge in a €5m transfer and has signed terms lasting until 2029.
