Cerignola sign French-Algerian midfielder Matiss Sellaf from Savoia
French-Algerian midfielder Matiss Sellaf has joined Cerignola from Savoia on a free transfer, strengthening the Italian club’s options in central midfield.
The 21-year-old has signed a contract with Cerignola running until 30 June 2028. He completed the move on 26 August 2026, switching between two clubs competing in Serie C – C.
Sellaf is a right-footed central midfielder who stands 1.85m tall. He arrives at Cerignola after two seasons with Savoia, where he made the move from Portici on a free transfer in July 2024.
His record in Serie D includes 75 appearances, two goals and two assists across the 2023-24 and 2024-25 campaigns. He made 50 appearances in Serie D – I, contributing one assist, before adding two goals and one assist in 25 games in Serie D – G.
Sellaf also played in the Coupe Gambardella, making three appearances and scoring once. His previous competitive experience includes appearances in the Coppa Serie D, the Meisterrunde and the Serie D play-offs.
The midfielder began his senior club career with Portici after leaving Marignane G U19 in July 2023, also on a free transfer. He then spent the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons with Savoia before moving on to Cerignola.
Cerignola, whose national club designation is Audace Cerignola, now have Sellaf available as part of their midfield group for the new campaign. The transfer gives the player a move to a new Serie C – C club after two years with Savoia.
Sellaf’s market value is listed at €75,000, while his highest recorded value has been €175,000. Those figures do not form part of the transfer agreement, which was completed without a fee.
The player holds French and Algerian nationality. At 21, he joins Cerignola with experience of senior football in Italy and a contract that keeps him at the club through June 2028.
Sellaf’s move from Savoia to Cerignola was completed on 26 August 2026, with the midfielder becoming a Cerignola player on a free transfer.
