Ivory Coast forward Ibrahim Diabate has joined Erzurumspor FK from Swedish club GAIS, completing a move to the Turkish Super Lig side on 25 August 2026.

The 26-year-old centre-forward arrives after spending the second half of the 2025-26 season on loan at Spanish club Alaves. That loan spell ended on 30 June, when Diabate returned to GAIS before switching countries again two months later.

Diabate began the 2025-26 campaign with GAIS before moving to Alaves on 2 February. His return to Sweden was formally recorded at the end of the season, with the player then leaving GAIS for Erzurumspor.

The Bouake-born striker stands 1.85m tall and is predominantly right-footed. He started his European career with RCD Mallorca B after leaving Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas in 2018.

Diabate later had loan spells with Sevilla Atletico and Atletico Madrid’s reserve side before returning to RCD Mallorca B. He moved to Swedish football in July 2023, joining Vasteras SK, and transferred to GAIS on a free transfer in January 2025.

His latest move takes him from Sweden’s Allsvenskan to Turkey’s Super Lig, while Erzurumspor also have involvement in the 2026-27 UEFA Conference League qualifying campaign. Diabate’s current competition record lists two possible qualifying matches, although he has not made an appearance in the tournament this season.

He joins Erzurumspor after a career that has taken him from ASEC Mimosas in Cote d’Ivoire through clubs in Spain and Sweden. The forward’s arrival was completed on 25 August 2026.
