The board of directors of Al-Ahly Club is convening a crucial meeting today, Monday, to discuss several important matters that require resolution and the management of various club affairs.
Today’s meeting marks the first for the board after the departure of Al-Amri Farouk, the former Deputy General, and Minister of Sports, who passed away on the 24th of last month after a challenging health crisis that lasted for more than two months.
According to “Al-Masry Al-Youm,” the most significant issues to be presented to the Al-Ahly Club board today include finalizing the appointment of a new Vice President for the club.
The discussion will revolve around whether someone will be officially assigned to the position by the current board until elections are conducted for the seat.
The board will also officially designate the head of the delegation for the first football team heading to Algeria on the 13th of this month.
Al-Ahly is set to face its counterpart, CR Belouizdad, on the 16th of this month as part of the fourth round of the group stage in the CAF Champions League.
