Ivancica Ivanec land French-Algerian left-back Racim Belkessa
French-Algerian defender Racim Belkessa has joined Croatian club Ivancica Ivanec from Carnoux FC on a free transfer.
The 20-year-old left-back completed the move on 25 August 2026, beginning a new chapter in Croatia after leaving Carnoux FC. No transfer fee was involved in the switch.
Belkessa, who was born in Montreuil, France, is capable of representing both France and Algeria. He stands 1.76m tall and is left-footed, offering Ivancica Ivanec a defender whose natural role is on the left side of the back four.
Before moving to Croatia, Belkessa spent part of the 2025-26 campaign with Carnoux FC. His previous competitive record includes appearances in France’s National U19 – Group D, National 2 – Group H and the Coupe Gambardella.
He made 22 appearances in the National U19 competition, scoring twice, while also featuring 10 times in National 2 and providing two assists. He played three matches in the Coupe Gambardella.
Belkessa joined Carnoux FC in February 2026 after a period without a club. Earlier in his development, he had been with Marignane G U19, joining that side from MGCB FC U17 in July 2022.
His move to Ivancica Ivanec represents a switch from French football to the Croatian game, with the defender leaving Carnoux after a spell that included both youth and senior-level competition. The transfer was completed on 25 August 2026, and Belkessa is now an Ivancica Ivanec player.
