The first football team of Alexandria Union has entered a closed camp today, Monday, in preparation for facing Ceramica Cleopatra in the semi-finals of the third edition of the Egyptian Professional Clubs League Cup.
The match is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, at 7:30 PM local time at Alexandria Stadium.
Tarek Al-Ashry, the head coach of Alexandria Union, decided to postpone the announcement of the team lineup for the match against Ceramica, counting on the potential return of Angolan striker Mabululo to strengthen the team’s attack.
This comes amid the absence of Benjamin Boateng and Bicali Oubame due to suspension and injury, respectively.
Some players have shown significant improvement, becoming consistent contributors to the team’s lineup, such as Mahdi Suleiman, Amr Khalil, Saif Taqa, Hisham Salah, Amr Saleh, Khaled El Ghandour, Ragab Emran, Omar El Wesh, Abdulghani Mohamed, Mustafa Ibrahim, Mahmoud Shabana, Nasser Nasser, Fawzi El Hanawi, Hani Al Tamy, Bilal El Sayed, Al-Habib Hassan, Zaghlool Mohamed, Mahmoud Satoohi, Adham Alaa, and Ahmed Ghanem.
Tarek Al-Ashry held a closed meeting with the players, cautioning them about the danger posed by Ceramica’s midfielders, especially their ability to transition from defense to offense and capitalize on opportunities.
He warned the team’s defenders against committing mistakes inside and outside the penalty area during the crucial match.
The head coach urged his players to consider the Ceramica match as a de facto final of the League Cup.
This approach aims to secure a spot in the final match of the League Cup and clinch a prestigious title for the club.
