Lecce land Sweden and Somalia winger Amar Fatah in €1.4m Troyes transfer

Amar Fatah has joined Lecce from Troyes for €1.4m, giving the Italian club a new Sweden and Somalia-eligible option on the left wing.

The 22-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2029 after moving from the French club on 25 August 2026. Fatah will wear the Lecce colours in Serie A, having made the switch following a spell with Troyes.

Born in Solna, Sweden, Fatah is a right-footed left winger. He stands 1.80m tall and began his club career in the AIK youth system before progressing through the Swedish side’s age-group teams.

Fatah moved from AIK to Troyes in August 2022 for €4.7m. The transfer was followed by a series of loan spells as he gained experience away from the French club.

He spent the second half of the 2022-23 season with Lommel SK, before returning to Troyes at the end of the campaign. In 2024-25, he joined Willem II on loan and again went back to Troyes when that arrangement ended.

His most recent loan move took him to Dundee United for the 2025-26 season. Fatah returned to Troyes on 31 May 2026 before completing his move to Lecce less than three months later.

The transfer brings an end to his association with Troyes, where he had remained under contract after his previous loan spells. Lecce have secured his services through to the summer of 2029.

Fatah’s move to Italy follows a period in which his market value was listed at €800,000, while his highest recorded value was €1.5m. The fee agreed between Lecce and Troyes is €1.4m.

He joins Lecce as a player whose listed position is left winger, adding a wide attacking profile to the club’s squad for the Serie A campaign. Fatah’s arrival was registered on 25 August 2026, completing his switch from France to Italy.

The Sweden and Somalia-eligible winger is now contracted to Lecce until 30 June 2029.
