Youssouph Badji transfer rumour: Panetolikos consider move for Aarhus GF striker

Senegalese striker Youssouph Badji is being linked with a move from Aarhus GF to Panetolikos in Greece.

The 24-year-old centre-forward joined Aarhus from Charleroi in September 2024 for a reported €1.4m and spent part of the 2025-26 season on loan at Panetolikos. That loan ended on 30 June 2026, when Badji returned to the Danish club.

Badji has yet to feature for Aarhus during the 2026-27 campaign, with no appearances recorded in the Superliga or European qualifying competitions so far. He remains under contract with the Danish champions until 30 June 2029.

The forward helped Aarhus win the Danish title in 2025-26, adding a league medal to the two Belgian championships he won with Club Brugge in 2020-21 and 2021-22.

A return to Panetolikos would represent another move between the Danish Superliga and Greece’s Super League 1 for Badji, who began his European career after joining Club Brugge from Senegalese club Casa Sports in January 2020. His other previous loan spells include periods with Brest and Charleroi.

The reported interest comes with Badji currently part of the Aarhus squad, although his lack of competitive action this season could prove relevant to his situation before the transfer window closes.
