Warren Bondo’s AC Milan exit draws closer as January transfer window looms

Warren Bondo is expected to leave AC Milan soon, with his representatives indicating that a separation from the club is now imminent despite the midfielder remaining under contract.

The Franco-Congolese player is set to return to first-team training, but that move will not signal a return to the sporting plans of the Milan coaching staff. His participation is understood to be linked to his contractual status rather than a change in his position within the squad.

Training return does not guarantee playing time

According to reports in the Italian media, Bondo retains the right to train with the first team because he is still registered as an AC Milan player. His exclusion from the club’s sporting plans, however, remains unchanged.

The midfielder’s return to collective sessions therefore offers no guarantee that he will be reinstated in the squad or receive playing time in the coming weeks. His future remains unresolved, with his sporting situation effectively at a standstill.

In recent weeks, AC Milan’s management is understood to have proposed ending Bondo’s contract by mutual agreement. Negotiations did not produce an agreement, leaving the player tied to the club while remaining outside its sporting plans.

That impasse has increased the importance of the January transfer window. A move to another club or an agreement that would allow both parties to end their relationship are among the possible solutions.

Representatives expect an imminent departure

Maghreb-Foot contacted FK Sport Management SRL, the company responsible for managing Bondo’s professional career. A senior source at the agency was categorical about the player’s prospects at AC Milan, making clear that his representatives are working towards an imminent departure.

The precise terms of any separation have yet to be determined, but leaving the Rossoneri now appears to be the preferred outcome. Bondo’s representatives are seeking a way to end the current deadlock and give the midfielder an opportunity to restart his career in an environment where he can play regularly.

Italy is considered one of the most realistic destinations for the midfielder. His representatives have links with several Italian clubs, which could assist in identifying a new team.

Bondo also has significant experience of Italian football. Before joining AC Milan, he played for Monza and Reggina, and he spent last season at Cremonese on loan.

That background could appeal to clubs looking for a midfielder who already understands the demands of the Italian championship.

For now, Bondo remains in a difficult position at AC Milan. His return to training changes little in practical terms, as he is still not viewed as part of the club’s sporting plans.

The main question is whether his situation will be resolved before January or whether the parties will have to wait for the winter transfer window to open. According to the source cited by Maghreb-Foot, Bondo’s time at AC Milan is close to ending.
