OC Safi strengthen attack with Morocco winger Hmoudi El Filali

Morocco winger Hmoudi El Filali has joined OC Safi from JS Massira on a free transfer, giving the club a new option on the right side of attack.

The 31-year-old, who was born in Laayoune, completed the move on 24 August 2026 after four seasons with JS Massira. El Filali’s arrival marks his latest step in Moroccan football, having previously represented Stade Marocain and MS Laayoune.

El Filali plays primarily as a right winger and has already featured seven times for OC Safi across three competitions, scoring three goals. He has found the net twice in the Excellence Cup and once in the Botola Pro 1 Relegation competition, while also appearing in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine.

His record in the Excellence Cup includes four appearances and two goals, with 232 minutes played. He added another goal in two appearances in the Botola Pro 1 Relegation competition, playing 146 minutes, and completed 82 minutes in the cup.

The winger’s recent career has been defined by moves between Moroccan clubs. He joined JS Massira from MS Laayoune in July 2020, switched to Stade Marocain a year later and returned to JS Massira in July 2022. His latest change of club brings him to OC Safi after that second spell with JS Massira.

El Filali’s move follows a series of free transfers throughout his senior career. His switches from MS Laayoune to JS Massira, from JS Massira to Stade Marocain and then back to JS Massira were all completed without a transfer fee.

He now continues his career with an OC Safi side for whom he has already contributed goals in both the Excellence Cup and the relegation competition. His experience and ability to operate on the right flank add further attacking depth to the squad.

El Filali’s transfer from JS Massira to OC Safi was completed on 24 August 2026.
