Frankfurt linked with NEOM SC defender Nathan Zeze

Nathan Zeze, the France and Ivory Coast defender currently at Saudi Pro League club NEOM SC, has been linked with a move to Bundesliga side Frankfurt.

The 21-year-old centre-back joined NEOM from French club Nantes on 31 July 2025 in a transfer valued at €20m. He remains under contract with the Saudi club until 30 June 2030.

Zeze has started all four of NEOM’s competitive matches so far this season, making three appearances in the Saudi Pro League and one in the King’s Cup. He provided an assist in the cup fixture.

The left-footed defender came through Nantes’ youth system and made the move to NEOM after progressing into the French club’s senior set-up. He was part of Nantes’ French Under-19 title-winning side in 2022-23.

His current market value is listed at €20m, matching the fee recorded for his move to Saudi Arabia last year.

The reported link with Frankfurt would represent a return to European football for Zeze, although there is no indication that a transfer has been agreed. For now, he remains a NEOM player with four years left on his contract.
