Rapid 1923 linked with Tunisia-France striker Adel Bettaieb

Tunisia-France forward Adel Bettaieb, currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Romanian SuperLiga side FC Rapid 1923.

The 29-year-old centre-forward became a free agent after leaving Esperance on 17 August, less than a month after joining the Tunisian club from FC Arges. His brief spell at Esperance followed a season with Romanian side FC Arges, whom he joined from U Cluj in July 2025.

Bettaieb has a market value of €900,000 and has spent much of his recent career in Romania and Turkey. He previously played for U Cluj, ACSM Poli Iasi, Boluspor and Umraniyespor, while his earlier career included a spell with Luxembourg club F91 Dudelange.

He was part of the Dudelange side that won the Luxembourgish title in the 2021-22 season. During his time in the BGL Ligue, Bettaieb scored 33 goals in 60 appearances, registering 13 assists.

The forward also has experience in European competition, having featured in the Europa League, Europa League qualifying, UEFA Conference League qualifying and Champions League qualifying.

Rapid 1923’s reported interest comes with Bettaieb available after his departure from Esperance. No transfer fee or contract terms have been announced, and the link remains a rumour.
