Mahamadou Balde leaves Tenerife for Qatar move with Muaither SC

Spain and Senegal striker Mahamadou Balde has joined Muaither SC from CD Tenerife, moving to the Qatari Second Division club on 24 August 2026.

The 22-year-old centre-forward arrives after a spell with Tenerife in Spain’s LaLiga2. Balde had not made an appearance for the club in the 2026-27 campaign before switching clubs, with Tenerife having played two possible matches at the time of his departure.

Born in Barcelona, Balde stands at 1.83m and favours his right foot. He previously joined Tenerife from Lazio U20 in July 2025 on a free transfer, beginning his time in Spain after developing in Italy.

Balde’s move to Tenerife followed a spell with Lazio’s youth side, where he was part of the team that won the Primavera2 Italian Super Cup in the 2022-23 season. He joined Lazio U19 from Nocerina in January 2023, having started his career with Cornella Youth before moving to Italy.

The forward now continues his career in Qatar with Muaither, adding experience from Spanish and Italian football to the club’s squad. His role is defined as centre-forward, giving the side a striker who has played primarily through the middle of the attack.

Balde’s previous senior-club path has included Cornella Youth, Nocerina, Lazio U19, Lazio U20 and Tenerife. His highest recorded market value was €325,000, while his current valuation is €200,000.

The move represents a fresh start for Balde after he was unable to feature for Tenerife at the beginning of the new LaLiga2 season. Muaither have secured his arrival as they compete in Qatar’s second tier.

Balde has now completed his move from CD Tenerife to Muaither SC and is registered with the Qatari club.
