PAOK linked with unattached Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo

Ghanaian central midfielder Kwasi Sibo, currently without a club after leaving Real Oviedo, is being linked with a move to PAOK in Greece’s Super League 1.

The 28-year-old departed Oviedo on 1 July 2026, ending a two-year spell with the Spanish club. He joined Oviedo from SD Amorebieta in July 2024 after helping establish himself in Spain’s domestic divisions.

Sibo has made four appearances for Ghana at the 2026 World Cup, starting 75% of those matches and playing 69% of the available minutes. He did not score or provide an assist during the tournament.

The midfielder previously spent time in the Premier League with Watford, making 20 appearances and scoring three goals, while also recording two assists. His career in Spain includes 73 LaLiga2 appearances, alongside 26 outings in LaLiga.

Sibo began his professional career with Ghanaian club Cheetah FC before moving to Banants in Armenia in 2017. He later spent time on loan at Albanian side KF Skenderbeu and Spanish club UD Ibiza before joining Watford permanently in 2021.

His most recent move to Oviedo was completed without a transfer fee, and he is now listed as unattached. Sibo’s current market value is €1.4m, while PAOK are the club linked with securing his next move.
