Nicolas Jackson linked with Aston Villa in Premier League transfer rumour

Senegalese-Gambian striker Nicolas Jackson, currently at Chelsea, has been linked with a move to Aston Villa.

The 25-year-old forward returned to Chelsea on 30 June after spending the 2025-26 season on loan at Bayern Munich, where he won the Bundesliga and German Cup. He remains under contract at Stamford Bridge until 30 June 2033.

Jackson joined Chelsea from Villarreal in July 2023 for a reported €37m. He has made 65 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring 24 goals and providing 10 assists.

The suggested move would keep Jackson in the Premier League, with Aston Villa the club named in connection with the rumour. No transfer fee or probability has been given for a potential deal.

Jackson most recently featured for Senegal at the 2026 World Cup, making four appearances and registering one assist without scoring. He has also scored three goals in 10 Champions League appearances during his career.

His current market value is listed at €40m, while his highest recorded value was €55m. Jackson’s Chelsea contract means any permanent transfer would involve the club deciding whether to part with a forward signed three years ago and tied to the club for a further seven seasons.
