Lille turn attention to NEC’s Dutch-Moroccan winger Sami Ouaissa

Sami Ouaissa, the Netherlands and Morocco-qualified NEC Nijmegen winger, has been linked with a move to Lille in France’s Ligue 1.

The 21-year-old has a contract with NEC until 30 June 2028 and is valued at €8m. Any move would therefore be expected to involve a transfer fee, rather than the player leaving as a free agent.

Ouaissa has made three appearances for NEC in the 2026-27 season, featuring twice in Champions League qualifying and once in the Eredivisie. He has yet to score or provide an assist in those matches.

The left-footed right winger joined NEC from Roda JC in January 2024 for a reported €850,000. He returned to Roda on loan for the second half of that season before completing his move back to NEC in June 2024.

Ouaissa, who was born in Hoensbroek and stands 1.86m tall, has established himself within NEC’s senior squad. The reported interest from Lille comes as the French club assess a potential move for a player whose current valuation has reached €8m.

No agreement has been confirmed, and Ouaissa remains an NEC player with two years left on his existing contract.
