Congo forward Wilden Bokouya begins Iraq adventure with Al-Karma

Congo centre-forward Wilden Bokouya has joined Iraqi club Al-Karma from Libya’s Al-Ahli on a free transfer.

The 24-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027 and will wear the Al-Karma colours in the Iraq Stars League. The move takes him into a new national league after his spell in Libya.

Bokouya made 22 appearances in the Libyan Premier League, scoring six goals and providing nine assists. He also scored once in three CAF Confederation Cup appearances, giving him seven goals and nine assists across those recorded competitions.

He joined Al-Ahli on 12 February 2026 after previously playing for Al-Dhahra. His time at Al-Dhahra followed a free transfer from Congolese side AS Otoho in October 2025.

Bokouya originally moved to AS Otoho from Etoile du Congo in July 2024. He later spent part of the 2024-25 campaign at Al-Dhahra on loan before returning to AS Otoho when that arrangement ended.

His arrival gives Al-Karma a forward with recent experience in both domestic league football and continental competition. The Iraqi club will now become the fourth senior side in Bokouya’s recorded club career.

Bokouya’s switch from Al-Ahli to Al-Karma was completed on 24 August 2026, with the Congolese forward contracted in Iraq until June 2027.
