Moroccan tactician Hicham Abou Chrouane closes in on Olympique Dcheira coaching role
Moroccan coach Hicham Abou Chrouane is on the verge of being appointed manager of Olympique Dcheira, with negotiations between the two parties reportedly at an advanced stage.
The second-tier Moroccan club opened talks with Abou Chrouane in recent hours as they seek a new coach following the departure of Bouchaib El Moubarki, who guided the team during the closing stages of last season.
Abou Chrouane is expected to meet with the club’s officials on Sunday to discuss the final details of the proposed agreement, including the sporting project and contractual terms.
The two sides have reportedly reached a preliminary understanding over a one-year contract, with an option to extend the deal.
Abou Chrouane could be joined by Hicham Mesbah, the former Raja Casablanca player who worked with Olympique Dcheira last season. His previous experience with the club is expected to provide continuity as the team begins preparations for the new campaign.
The potential appointment would mark a new chapter for Abou Chrouane after he recently ended his long association with Raja Casablanca. During his time at the Casablanca giants, he held several technical positions, including roles within the first-team coaching staff, while also taking charge as interim coach on a number of occasions.
Olympique Dcheira are now working to finalize the agreement as they prepare for the upcoming season, with an official announcement expected once all contractual details have been settled.
