Loic Mbe Soh linked with Sparta Prague switch from Sint-Truiden

French-Cameroonian defender Loic Mbe Soh, who plays for Belgian club Sint-Truiden, has been linked with a move to Sparta Prague.

The 25-year-old centre-back joined Sint-Truiden from Beerschot in January 2026 in a deal reported at €500,000. He has made two appearances in the Jupiler Pro League this season, starting both matches and completing 180 minutes, with one booking.

A move to Sparta Prague would take Mbe Soh from Belgium’s top flight to the Czech Republic’s Chance Liga. The reported interest comes after he established himself in Sint-Truiden’s starting XI at the beginning of the campaign.

Mbe Soh began his senior career in Paris Saint-Germain’s youth system and made the move to Nottingham Forest in 2020 for a reported €5m. He subsequently spent time on loan at Guingamp and Almere City before joining Beerschot on a permanent basis in August 2024.

He was part of the Paris Saint-Germain squad that won the French title in 2018-19 and 2019-20, as well as the French Cup in 2019-20. Mbe Soh’s current market value is listed at €2m.

The proposed switch to Sparta Prague remains a transfer rumour, with Mbe Soh currently a regular starter for Sint-Truiden in the opening matches of the 2026-27 league season.
