Amal Tiznit add Morocco centre-back Jad Assouab in Botola switch
Morocco defender Jad Assouab has joined Amal Tiznit from KACM Marrakech, giving the Botola Pro Inwi club a new experienced option at centre-back.
The 31-year-old Rabat-born defender completed the move on 21 August 2026 after one season with KACM Marrakech. Assouab is a right-footed central defender who stands 1.89m tall and has spent his career in Moroccan football.
Assouab joined KACM from JS Soualem on 9 July 2025, having made that move as a free agent. His latest transfer keeps him in the Botola Pro Inwi, with Amal Tiznit and KACM both competing in Morocco’s top flight.
During his time in the competition, Assouab has recorded 70 Botola Pro Inwi appearances and 5,592 minutes. He has also played five times in the Moroccan Throne Cup, along with two appearances in the Botola Pro 1 relegation competition.
His career includes spells with US Sale, Beni Mellal, AS FAR Rabat, Berrechid, SCC Mohammedia, JS Soualem and KACM Marrakech. He represented AS FAR when he won the Moroccan Cup in the 2020-21 season, the only major honour recorded in his career.
Assouab’s move to Amal Tiznit represents his latest change of club after a series of transfers within the Moroccan game. He previously left AS FAR for Berrechid in September 2022, then moved through SCC Mohammedia and JS Soualem before arriving at KACM.
The defender’s recent record gives Amal Tiznit a player with extensive domestic experience, including more than 5,500 minutes in Botola Pro Inwi matches. His arrival also continues a career spent exclusively with Moroccan clubs.
Jad Assouab has completed his move from KACM Marrakech to Amal Tiznit in the Botola Pro Inwi.
