Como 1907 add Guinean defender Almamy Soumah to Primavera plans

Como 1907 have completed the signing of 19-year-old Guinean defender Almamy Soumah, who joins the Italian club after gaining experience in Serie D.

The transfer was confirmed on Como 1907’s Instagram account, with Soumah arriving from ASD Tau Calcio Altopascio. The teenager had been with the Serie D club since the summer of 2025 and will now continue his early career in Italy with Como.

Standing at 1.89 metres, Soumah is a versatile defensive player who can operate either as a left-back or at centre-back. His physical strength, technical ability and maturity are regarded as qualities that can strengthen Gianluca Falsini’s squad.

Falsini’s side is targeting a strong campaign in Primavera 1, while also preparing to compete in the UEFA Youth League. Soumah’s arrival gives the Como coach another option across the defence as the club develops its young players and looks to compete on both domestic and European fronts.

The move represents the next step in the Guinean’s progression after his spell with ASD Tau Calcio Altopascio. His time in Serie D provided him with senior experience before the switch to Como, where he will continue his development within the club’s youth structure.

Following the completion of the transfer, Soumah gave a statement after signing, although no further details of his comments were included in the announcement.

Como 1907 are due to begin their Italian league campaign very soon, when they face Udinese in the opening round of the championship. The match will be the club’s first fixture of the new season and will provide an early test for the side as it begins its domestic schedule.

The source article also included betting prices from 1xbet for the game. Como 1907 were listed at 1.80 to win, while a draw was priced at 3.50 and an Udinese victory at 4.50. It also referred to an option to download 1xbet.

Soumah’s signing was announced alongside the club’s preparations for the Primavera 1 season and UEFA Youth League campaign. The defender’s ability to fill more than one position could prove useful to Falsini, particularly with the 19-year-old capable of playing both on the left side of defence and in the centre.

For now, the move takes Soumah from ASD Tau Calcio Altopascio to Como 1907, giving the Guinean prospect the opportunity to continue his career at a club with ambitions across Italian youth football and the UEFA Youth League.
