Bodrum FK consider move for free-agent Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar
Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar, who is without a club, has been linked with a move to Turkish second-tier side Bodrum FK.
The 34-year-old centre-forward is being associated with a switch to Bodrum FK, who play in Turkey’s 1.Lig. Aboubakar most recently played for Azerbaijan’s Neftchi PFK, whom he joined in October 2025 before leaving on 1 July 2026.
Aboubakar has extensive experience in Turkish football, scoring 52 goals in 116 Super Lig appearances. He has also won the Turkish league twice with Besiktas, in 2016-17 and 2020-21, and lifted the Turkish Cup with the club in 2020-21 and 2023-24.
His career has also included spells with Porto, Lorient, Al-Nassr and Hatayspor. With Porto, he won two Portuguese league titles and the Portuguese Cup, while he helped Cameroon win the Africa Cup of Nations in 2017.
Aboubakar’s current market value is listed at €600,000, although no transfer fee has been given in connection with the potential move to Bodrum FK. The striker is currently unattached after his departure from Neftchi and has no listed contract expiry date.
