The management of Wydad Casablanca, the Moroccan football club, is eagerly anticipating the decision of the Appeals Committee affiliated with the Royal Football Federation regarding the appeal lodged concerning the red card received by their Tunisian coach, Fawzi Benzarti, in the recent match of the Moroccan Professional League.
Referee Youssef Al-Turki, who officiated the match between Wydad and Maghreb Fes in the 12th round of the league, issued a red card to coach Fawzi Benzarti for entering the field at Benslimane Stadium, where the mentioned encounter took place.
Officials of Wydad Casablanca argued that the red card handed out by Al-Turki was unwarranted and called for its annulment.
However, until now, the management of the Red Team has not received a verdict regarding the appeal.
The decision of the Appeals Committee is highly anticipated, as it will determine whether Fawzi Benzarti will face further suspension or be cleared to resume his coaching duties for Wydad Casablanca.
