Akim Abdallah switches to Pau FC after Guingamp spell
Comoros and France left-back Akim Abdallah has joined Pau FC from Guingamp, bringing his Ligue 2 experience to the club on a deal running until 30 June 2029.
The 29-year-old defender completed the move on 21 August 2026, joining Pau after one season with Guingamp. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the move.
Abdallah began the 2026-27 Ligue 2 campaign with one appearance, starting one of Pau’s first two possible league matches and playing 39% of the team’s available minutes. He has not scored or provided an assist this season.
The left-footed full-back was born in Troyes and stands at 1.70m. He came through the youth system at Troyes, progressing from the club’s under-17 side to Troyes B before making the next stage of his senior career at Tours FC.
Abdallah joined Tours on loan from Troyes B during the 2018-19 season, returning to his parent club at the end of that spell. He then moved to Grenoble in July 2019, where he spent three seasons before joining Rodez AF in July 2022.
His move to Guingamp followed in July 2025 as a free transfer from Rodez. Abdallah made the switch to Pau a year later, remaining in France’s second tier but changing clubs after his campaign at Guingamp.
Pau FC’s new signing has a current market value of €600,000 and a previous highest recorded value of €700,000. His arrival adds an experienced option at left-back, with Abdallah’s preferred position and left-footed profile suited to the defensive role.
The transfer continues a career spent entirely in French football, with Abdallah having represented Troyes, Tours, Grenoble, Rodez and Guingamp before moving to Pau. His route through the French game has included youth football, a loan spell and several Ligue 2 transfers.
Abdallah is now contracted to Pau FC until the summer of 2029, completing his move from Guingamp on 21 August 2026.
