Mohamed Habib Zinbi makes Atletico Madrid C switch from Anderlecht

Morocco and Belgium defender Mohamed Habib Zinbi has begun a new chapter with Atletico Madrid C, joining the Spanish club from Anderlecht U18 on a free transfer.

The 16-year-old left-back has moved to Atletico Madrid C with a contract running until 30 June 2031. His arrival was completed on 21 August 2026, marking a move from Anderlecht’s youth setup to the Madrid club’s side competing in Segunda Federacion – Group V.

Zinbi played 13 matches in the U18 Elite 1 competition during the 2025-26 season and scored once. He made the switch to Anderlecht U18 from Anderlecht’s youth team at the start of that campaign, having remained within the Belgian club’s development structure before his move to Spain.

The defender’s preferred position is left-back, and his recruitment gives Atletico Madrid C a young option in a position he has occupied during his time in youth football. Zinbi’s dual Moroccan and Belgian nationality adds to his background as he begins his career in Spanish football.

His move represents a change in both club and competition after his season in the U18 Elite 1. He will now continue his development within Atletico Madrid’s setup, with the new agreement keeping him at the club through the end of June 2031.

Zinbi’s transfer was completed without a fee, and Anderlecht U18 is recorded as his previous club. The agreement places him at Atletico Madrid C from the opening stages of the 2026-27 season, after his progression through Anderlecht’s youth teams.

The teenager scored one goal in 13 league appearances for Anderlecht U18 before leaving Belgium. His record there provides the latest competitive background to a move that takes him into Atletico Madrid’s Spanish structure at the age of 16.

Atletico Madrid C have now secured Zinbi’s registration as part of their squad for the Segunda Federacion – Group V campaign. The left-back’s contract is valid until 30 June 2031, completing his free transfer from Anderlecht U18.
