Hull City weigh move for Morocco midfielder Azzedine Ounahi
Azzedine Ounahi, the Morocco midfielder currently at Girona, has been linked with a move to Premier League club Hull City.
The 26-year-old joined Girona from Marseille on 30 August 2025 in a €6m transfer and is under contract until 30 June 2030. His current market value is listed at €18m, although there is no indication that a fee has been agreed or that negotiations have taken place.
Ounahi has yet to play for Girona in the 2026-27 LaLiga2 campaign, with the club having been relegated from Spain’s top flight last season. The midfielder made six appearances for Morocco at the 2026 World Cup, scoring twice, and was part of the Morocco side that won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025.
A move to Hull would see Ounahi join a Premier League club after a short spell in Spain’s second tier. He previously spent the second half of the 2024-25 season on loan at Panathinaikos from Marseille before returning to France and completing his permanent switch to Girona.
Ounahi began his senior career with US Avranches before moving to Angers in 2021, and later joined Marseille in January 2023. His contract with Girona remains in place until 2030, leaving the Spanish club in a strong contractual position should interest from Hull develop.
