Anthony Dennis: Al-Hamra interest in Goztepe midfielder emerges
Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis is the subject of a rumoured move from Turkish club Goztepe to Al-Hamra in the United Arab Emirates’ First Division League.
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder joined Goztepe’s senior side from the club’s under-19 team in July 2023 and remains under contract until 30 June 2027. The reported approach would see him leave the Turkish Super Lig for the UAE, although the move has not been confirmed.
Dennis has not made an appearance for Goztepe during the 2026-27 Super Lig season, with the club having played one possible match so far. He has been listed as a right-footed midfielder and was born in Kaduna, Nigeria, on 21 June 2004.
The player joined Goztepe U19 from Nigerian club HB Abuja in January 2023 before making the move to the senior squad later that year. His current market value is listed at €8m, a figure that could become relevant if discussions develop while he remains tied to Goztepe.
Al-Hamra’s reported interest comes with Dennis still contracted to the Turkish side for another season beyond the current campaign. No transfer fee, agreement or personal terms have been disclosed, and the rumour remains unconfirmed.
