Aston Villa consider move for Chelsea’s England-Nigeria defender Tosin Adarabioyo
Tosin Adarabioyo, the England-Nigeria centre-back currently at Chelsea, is being linked with a move to Premier League club Aston Villa.
The 28-year-old joined Chelsea from Fulham on a free transfer in July 2024 and remains under contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2028. There is no indication that a transfer has been agreed, with the proposed move still at the rumour stage.
Adarabioyo has made 116 Premier League appearances during his career, scoring four goals and providing one assist. His top-flight experience includes spells with Fulham and Manchester City, while he also spent time on loan at West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn earlier in his career.
He was part of Chelsea’s squad that won the Conference League in the 2024-25 season and helped the club claim the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. Chelsea also reached the 2025-26 FA Cup final, where Adarabioyo is listed as having scored twice during the run.
His current market value is listed at €16m, below the €20m valuation recorded when he left Fulham for Chelsea. A move to Villa would therefore involve a player with established Premier League experience but two years remaining on his Chelsea contract.
