AD Ceuta consider Rennes B goalkeeper Ayoub Akabou for LaLiga2 move
Ayoub Akabou, a French-Moroccan goalkeeper with Rennes B, has been linked with a move to Spanish club AD Ceuta.
The proposed transfer would take the 19-year-old from France’s National 2 – Group C to Ceuta, who compete in LaLiga2. The clubs and the player have not confirmed an agreement, and the financial terms of any potential deal have not been disclosed.
Akabou joined Rennes B on 1 July 2025 after progressing from the club’s under-19 side. He had previously moved through Rennes’ youth system, joining the club from Clairefontaine’s youth setup in July 2022.
Born in Le Blanc-Mesnil on 25 May 2007, Akabou stands 1.94m tall and is right-footed. He remains under contract with Rennes until 30 June 2028.
The goalkeeper’s progression at Rennes has kept him within the club’s structure, with his current registration at the B team. A move to Ceuta would place him in Spain’s second tier, although the rumour does not indicate whether the proposed transfer would be permanent or temporary.
For now, Akabou remains a Rennes B player with two years left on his existing contract.
