Moez Ben Cherifia brings title-winning experience to CS Hammam-Lif
Tunisia goalkeeper Moez Ben Cherifia has joined CS Hammam-Lif on a free transfer from AS Soliman, adding an experienced presence to the Ligue 1 club’s squad.
The 35-year-old has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027 after completing the move on 20 August 2026. Ben Cherifia’s arrival follows a spell with AS Soliman, whom he joined in July 2025.
Ben Cherifia previously played for Olympique Beja, moving there from Esperance in August 2024. He joined Olympique Beja as a free agent after a long association with Esperance, where he established himself as one of the most decorated goalkeepers in Tunisian football.
During his time with Esperance, Ben Cherifia won the CAF Champions League three times. Those triumphs came in the 2010-11, 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.
He also collected 11 Tunisian league titles with the club, with his championship successes spanning from 2009-10 through to 2023-24. His honours list includes three Tunisian Super Cup victories and two Tunisian Cup wins, all achieved during his Esperance career.
Ben Cherifia’s move to CS Hammam-Lif represents another chapter in a career that began with Esperance’s under-19 side before he moved into the senior team in 2009. He remained with the club until his departure for Olympique Beja in 2024.
The goalkeeper, who was born in Tunis, is right-footed and stands 1.82m tall. His most recent transfer from Olympique Beja to AS Soliman also followed a spell as a free agent, before he now switches clubs again within Tunisia.
CS Hammam-Lif have secured Ben Cherifia’s services without a transfer fee, with the goalkeeper’s new contract keeping him at the club until the end of June 2027.
