Bernard Lama, former French international and goalkeeper for Paris Saint-Germain, has applied for the position of coach for the national football team of the Republic of Congo. The Congo Football Federation is in the process of reviewing applications, and Lama’s candidacy is being considered among several others, including Henri Michel, Luis Fernandez, Pierre Lechantre, and Denis Lavagne. Lama, who had a coaching stint in Kenya in 2006, is eager for a second opportunity to coach in Africa. The final decision on the new coach for the Red Devils will be made after a thorough evaluation of the candidates.
