Rabbi Matondo transfer rumour: Norwich consider move for SK Brann winger

Rabbi Matondo, the Welsh and DR Congo winger at SK Brann, has been linked with a move to Norwich in the Championship.

Matondo joined the Norwegian club from Rangers on 31 March 2026 in a free transfer and has a contract with Brann until 31 December. The 25-year-old has made three Eliteserien appearances this season, playing a total of 30 minutes without scoring or providing an assist.

The left winger’s current market value is €900,000, while his highest recorded valuation was €9m. Matondo’s limited playing time at Brann comes after a season in which he returned to Rangers from a loan spell at Hannover 96 before leaving Scotland for Norway.

Norwich’s interest, if it develops further, would represent another move abroad for Matondo, who began his senior career with Schalke after progressing through Manchester City’s academy. He has also spent time on loan at Stoke City and Cercle Brugge.

Matondo won the Scottish League Cup with Rangers in the 2023-24 season. His current agreement at Brann is due to expire at the end of 2026, with Norwich’s reported interest coming while the player remains under contract with the Eliteserien club.
