Espérance Tunis sign Moroccan forward Imad Faraj on a three-year deal
Tunisian giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis have strengthened their attack with the signing of Moroccan winger Imad Faraj on a contract running until June 2029.
The 27-year-old joins the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1 club after leaving Azerbaijani side Neftchi Baku earlier this month.
Espérance confirmed the deal on Monday, with Faraj becoming the latest addition to a squad preparing for another demanding domestic and continental campaign.
Faraj brings experience from three countries
Faraj, who holds Moroccan and French nationalities, operates primarily on the wing and is known for his pace, attacking ability and versatility in the final third.
He arrives in Tunis after making 34 appearances for Neftchi Baku during his most recent spell, scoring seven goals.
His career has also taken him through football in Morocco and France, giving Espérance an experienced attacking option as they prepare for the new season.
Espérance secure Faraj until 2029
The Moroccan winger has signed a three-year contract that will keep him at the Tunisian powerhouse until June 2029.
Espérance will hope Faraj can quickly adapt to his new surroundings and reproduce the qualities that made him an important attacking player during his time in Azerbaijan.
His arrival adds further depth to the club’s forward options as the Tunisian giants target success both at home and on the African stage.
