FC Nantes and Abdoulaye Touré have received positive news regarding the suspension issue. Initially at risk of losing three points for fielding Touré while he was suspended during the match against Bastia on August 10, the appeal made by the club has been accepted by the French Football Federation (FFF). Abdoulaye Touré is now scheduled to appear before the Higher Appeal Commission of the FFF on October 31, where the appeal will be examined on its merits. If the FFF confirms the player’s suspension, FC Nantes reserves the right to escalate the matter, potentially involving the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) and the Administrative Tribunal. The appeal is based on the argument that the FFF did not follow the proper notification process outlined in the Sports Code.
